Stirling was inspired by the rainy Seattle weather. While I’m more of a sunny weather person, Seattle’s gray skies and constant drizzle can be peacefully and calming. Right before I painted this piece I was looking out a window made blury because of the rain. It was an interesting distortion that I wanted to capture as art.
